Educating Our Neighbors, Sharing Our Passion

At Homeland, our passion for sharing our knowledge runs as deep as our passion for delivering excellent care. That is why we have a robust Community Outreach Program designed to educate, comfort, and connect with the people we serve. Whether you are a local civic group looking for a historical perspective or a healthcare team seeking clinical education, we welcome the opportunity to partner with you.

Expert Voices from Every Discipline

Our outreach team is not a single department; it is a collection of expert voices from across our entire organization. When you invite Homeland to speak, you are gaining access to a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including:

  • Clinical Liaisons: Experts on the nuances of home health and hospice care.
  • Chaplains & Spiritual Counselors: Providing insight into spiritual care, grief, and emotional support.
  • Social Services Staff: Navigating the complexities of resources, advocacy, and family dynamics.
  • Dedicated Volunteers: Sharing personal stories and the history of our mission.

Bereavement Support

Coping with loss is a deeply personal experience that doesn’t follow a fixed timeline. Homeland’s bereavement counselors guide families through the very difficult loss of a loved one. We understand that healing takes time – and will walk you through your bereavement journey.

We offer support through phone calls, one-on-one consultations and support groups. Our bereavement support program is available to the bereaved of Homeland’s patients as well as anyone in the community who is experiencing grief.

Presentations & Educational Topics

We tailor our presentations to fit the audience, ranging from casual “Lunch and Learns” to formal in-service training.

For Civic Organizations, Churches, and Community Groups

Our team frequently visits churches, rotary clubs, senior centers, and historical societies to present on:

  • Understanding Hospice & Home Care: Breaking down myths and explaining the benefits of supportive care at home.
  • Compassionate Caregiving: Practical advice and emotional support for families caring for loved ones.
  • Bereavement Support [Link to Bereavement Support page]: Guiding families through the very difficult loss of a loved one.

For Medical Professionals & Caregivers

We offer in-service programs [link to Staff Education page] for hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and physician practices to ensure staff are up-to-date on the benefits of our services.
